Laura very helpful and polite made me fully understand the different types of lenses and helped me choose a frame that would be suitable for my high prescription. I had some issues with my current lens coatings Danielle was very understanding and offered to replace the lenses at 50% discount.

felt very welcome from the time I entered the building to when I left. Rachel the optometrist who attended to me was brilliant. She was patient and made sure I got the right prescription, which I did when I picked up my glasses yesterday. I have never been happier with my prescription as I suffer from extreme astigmatism in one eye. Alex the optician was wonderful and patient, helping me choose my frames and fitting the glasses. I must also commend Lauren whom, I saw today, she was so very helpful.

I visited Specsavers on Monday, 16 March 2026 for a pre-booked eye test. Also, I had broken 2 pairs of glasses in quick succession, and although I had temporarily mended one pair, it was not a long-term solution. Accordingly, I ordered and paid for 2x pairs of glasses - 1x a standard vari-focal and 1x a more expensive vari-focal for driving. I was promised both pairs would be ready for fitting on Monday, 30 March 2026. I was also promised that I would get the optional additional retina scan results (which I paid for) via email. This is a picture scan of the state of your retina. Total costs for my visit were £635. PROGRESS: I received a text on Sunday, 29 March 2026 to say there was a quality control problem with the pair of the special vari-focal lenses for driving and that they would not be ready on Monday, 30 March 2026. On my visit on 30 March 2026, I obtained the standard pair of vari-focals. I pointed out I had not received an email enclosing the results of the additional retina test. I was told this would be attended to and an email would be sent with the results and imaging that day. I also asked when the other pair of glasses that failed the quality control test would be remade and received. The assistant could give no answer but said I would be contacted when they were ready. She could not give me any reason why they failed the quality control test. She could not give me any information on how many glasses per day due for delivery are failing the quality control test. She could not give me any information on why they are failing the quality control test. As of today, Tueday, 21 April 2026 - 22 days since my visit on 30 March 2026 and 36 days since my original order - I have had absolutely no communication from Specsavers, either sending me an email about the additional retina test or the progress on remaking my 2nd pair of glasses. I have, of course, had at least 5 emails asking me what I thought of the service and experience with Specsavers!!! I am about to write to them. It is appalling. There seems to be a total disregard for the client and Specsavers attempts at client service clearly do not feature in their corporate values or strategic objectives. If they do, the outturn is well below target or benchmark. The fact that I have heard nothing from Specavers for 22 days proves that they have no systems or controls to follow up on orders that have gone wrong. I am now concerned and have no confidence that when, and if, they deliver the 2nd pair of glasses that Specsavers have, in fact, met their quality control tests. An altogether very poor performance from a Company that doesn't demonstrate any concern for its clients. Even when I have resolved this situation, I shall not use Specsavers again.
